We will be shipping these new release wines to our online customers from the 22nd July 2010. We are offering these wines to our online customers first prior to the release to our outlets. At have also released our Wrights Verjuice 2010. The description for this is as follows - Is a crisp ,zesty style. A hint of sweetness balanced with the acidity of the Chardonnay grape. Fresh flavours of apple, pear and citrus flow through the juice. A versatile addition to any kitchen. Used as a non-alcoholic spritzer, to poach fruit or replace vinegar and lemon juice in any recipe. Complementing and enhancing many dishes. This year we were lucky enough to meet Kevin Lynch and Amber Share, wine writers from the United States. They are traveling around NZ for a year. Kevin and Amber did a great article on Biodynamic Vineyard Management, featuring our work we have done to date. They also created a five minute interview clip where we discussed our biodynamic management techniques. It is really interesting, and they have got some lovely photo's of our place as well - check it out.
Last year we were interviewed for the American program Roadtrip Nation. Roadtrip Nation is produced by a film company that gives young people a chance to hit the road and interview people living their dream. A number of unique, inventive New Zealanders were interviewed for this program. An opportunity to be inspired! For those that did not know, we manage our vineyards organically by using biodynamic techniques. Our vineyards are AsureQuality certified. At present we manage 30 acres, covering two vineyards.
If you are ever passing through Gisborne, please feel free to check us out. We do wine tastings by appointment. We can give you a tour of our winery, all be it two shipping containers and have show case our vineyard and talk about whats makes our wines so special and delicous.
