It sounds like our customers are enjoying our wines, which is fantastic. In fact, we have just about sold out of our Sauvignon Blanc 2009. We still have a couple cases, which we are selling to our customers who get in first. We no longer have anymore of this wine for our trade outlets. However if you can't purchase it direct from us, there is a chance that our trade outlets will still have some.
Just recently we were lucky enough to meet Kevin Lynch and Amber Share, wine writers from the United States. They are traveling around NZ for a year. Kevin and Amber did a great article on Biodynamic Vineyard Management, featuring our work we have done to date. They also created a five minute interview clip where we discussed our biodynamic management techniques. Last year we were interviewed for the American program Roadtrip Nation. Roadtrip Nation is produced by a film company that gives young people a chance to hit the road and interview people living their dream. A number of unique, inventive New Zealanders were interviewed for this program. An opportunity to be inspired! Customers can purchase our wine glasses from us at $6 each, minimum order 6 glasses (total $36, including freight). These glasses are specially designed to help you appreciate wine. They also have our logo imprinted on them.
For our customers that order 12 or more bottles we have offering you a 7% discount off the total order price. This discount is worked out automatically on our online order page, once you have 12 or more bottles entered.

For those that did not know, we manage our vineyards organically by using biodynamic techniques. Our vineyards are AsureQuality certified. At present we manage 30 acres, covering two vineyards.
Our Terrace Vineyard is fully certified organic and the other Valley Vineyard, which we recently purchased this year is under conversion to organics. This block was previously known as the Revington Vineyard, which is 500 metres down the Road from our home block on Ormond Valley Road. The Revington Vineyard in known as the Grand Cru of vineyards from the Gisborne region. This vineyard currently is established with Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer & Viognier. We intent to plant out the remaining 1 acre which is currently vacant with Pinot Meunier. We intend to use these grapes for our Methode Traditionnelle.
Whats Happening at Present
We have made it through spring without any loss of crop from late frosts, which is a relief for us. Our vineyards are located in an area which is known to get late frosts. The micro climate of this area helps us produce stunning wines. The hot days over summer 30 - 35 degrees, plus the cooler nights, helping us retain the acidity and intense flavours.
At present we have just bottled our Methode Traditionnelle for the 2009 season. We also have done a special bottling of these wines into magnums. We have put together a special wine. The first pick of the vintage, a blend of our fully certified grapes. These grapes underwent a co-fermentation. This particular wine, has flavours of chocolate mint. We will keep you posted of this very limited and collective wine.
