We did a couple separate video clips on different stages of making Pinot Noir at our winery this vintage. Check it out you can see how certain jobs are done in our grass roots winery, Gisborne. The wine that this Pinot Noir makes is for our Natural Wine Co range.
The 2016 vintage started late for us. We started harvesting grapes late in March just after the full moon. We were happy with this as the grapes were riper, had great flavour and good acid structure balance. We harvested all our grapes by hand and in total harvested around 90 tonne. We have some exciting wines to share with you this year – with our first being our Sauvignon Blanc from our grapes, in our Terrace Vineyard – Ormond Valley appellation. This wine will be released in late June under our Natural Wine co range. At present we have sold out of our previous vintages.
We are planning to be attending the Wellington and Tauranga Fine Food Shows this year. The Wellington one will be in around 20th May and the Tauranga show is early July. We are looking forward to show casing our organic wines under the Wrights range and Natural Wine Co range. At the Wellington show we are at site 22 with our Wellington Distributor – Hidden Terroir.
