Gisborne Scenic Tours – Cruise Ship Vineyard Winery Historical Building

With the increased amount of cruise ships into Gisborne, and travellers looking to experience something unique and affordable. We have put together an affordable, special unique cruise ship vineyard and winery tour.

The Cruise Ship Tour starts from town with a drive up Gisborne’s best viewing spot of the City and Harbour – Kaiti Hill, where we then give a brief historical narration of the discovery of NZ by Captain Cook.

We then drive to Trinity Holy Church for a guided historical building tour, viewing the stained glass and this beautiful 100 year old building.

Then out to Wrights Vineyard and Winery in Manutuke, a working winery, with a cellar door, cafe, producing wines from certified organic grapes.

Cruise Ship Tour – Visiting a Winery, Vineyard Gisborne

A personal tour by the winemaker of the winery, experience tasting the wines direct from barrel or tank.

From there you will be seated either in the gardens or inside the cellar door. Then experience a unique wine and food deconstruction. Afterwards you will enjoy some lovely shared pizza’s.

Cost $75 per head, requires a minimum of 10 people, we can cater for up to 40 people. Bus Leaves at Gisborne Wine Centre 11.00am arrives back 2.00pm. We can also drop you off in town on the way back from the winery. The Gisborne Wine Centre is located at the port, so generally if you are getting transported from the ship to shore, it is less than 10 metres away. Individual bookings are fine which can then help to get over the 10 people minimum requirement. If the tour falls on a public holiday the fee is $85 per person.

His Great Grandfather Stanko Jurakovich, from Croatia and his Brother in Law, starting wine making in Kumeu, Auckland in the 1930’s. Holding one of the original winemaking licences in Auckland.
