Otto Wright, aka Chaos factor # 5

Otto is the youngest of the 5 Wright brothers. Don’t let that mischievous smile fool you. Otto is a delightful mix of charm and a bit of a rough-and-tumble spirit.

Never says no for a milo and always eager to lend a hand in the vineyard, especially if it involves playing tricks.

Guy Wright, aka Chaos factor # 4

Guy born 2014, has a little bit of catching up to do. Lucky for him he has the vocals and tough attitude to express himself.

At this stage of the game, plenty of grooming from Geoff, should hopefully see as a future viticulturist.

Luke Wright, aka Chaos factor # 3

Luke born 2011, or as his brothers affectionately call him “Lukey Bear”, was welcomed into our family on World Vegetarian Day (1 October).  He is the wild, free-spirited kind.  Arriving when our strawbale home was not yet complete and we were living in a portacom (rent-a-shack).  A little mischievious, but great fun to have around.  With his first word as tractor, he is a man of the land.

Elijah Wright, aka Chaos factor # 2

Elijah born 2009 is an important part of the Wrights Team.  He started talking at age 19 months and has not stopped since.  Of particularly inquiring mind, he is keen to greet and chat to all customers at the cellar door.  Born on his Grandmother Wright's birthday, winegrowing flows through his veins, with his great-great grandfather Stanko Jurakovich being one of the first winegrowers in Kumeu, north of Auckland.  He is a determined character of strong ideas and a big heart.

Noah Wright, aka Chaos Factor # 1

Noah introduced us to life beyond "just us" in 2007.  Born on his due date.  he is an efficient character.  A lover of life.  Blessed with a particularly fine palate, able to distinguish a chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and gewurztraminer at a young age.  A creature who loves the finer things in life: great food, good company and freedom.  One of the best worker's Wrights Vineyard has ever seen.
