Park up among the vines and wake up in a working organic vineyard, just 15 minutes from Gisborne.

At Wrights Vineyard & Winery, we offer a small number of overnight spots for self-contained travellers looking for something a bit more personal than a standard campsite. It’s a rural setting — open skies, vineyard views, and a slower pace.

We’ve been crafting organic wines here for over 25 years, and if you’re staying with us, you’re welcome to experience a bit of that. Drop by the Cellar Door for a tasting, a glass of wine, or a platter overlooking the vineyard.

Cellar Door hours:
Tuesday to Friday: 12:00–2:00pm
Saturday: 12:00–4:00pm

During our regular hours we offer tastings and platters, and if we’re around outside those times, we can often organise something as well — even just a coffee — as long as you give us a call ahead.

We’re only 5 minutes from Makaraka (veggie shop, bakery and local bar) and 15 minutes from Gisborne, so you’re close to everything while still feeling properly out of town.

The parking area is simple and unpowered, with space for up to 7 vehicles. Access is via a gravel driveway, suitable for most campervans and motorhomes.

We do ask that reservations are made at least 2 hours before arrival so we can make sure everything is ready for you.
